OK people just like the PS2classics compatibility thread by szczuru, try and include the following details: - Game title/ID - Region - Status - CEX/DEX - CFW version - ISO/Eboot size (can make a difference depending on original source) - Save/load status - PS3 model - Further details A spreadsheet table on Google for compatiblity has been nicely provided by aldostools which can be viewed here. (Also just for reference, the PSP compatibility list via a Cobra dongle is available here (so it should make for some interesting reading if one works better than the other or if compatibility remains exactly the same. Game title: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Game ID: ULES01044 Region: PAL Status: Working CEX/DEX: DEX CFW version: Rebug 4.30.2 DEX ISO/Eboot size: ISO 1 737 654 272 bytes Save/load status: Yes PS3 model: PS3 Slim CECH-2504B Further details: Converted from iso. As base PBP i've used Dante's Inferno [ULUS10469] [UP0006-ULUS10469_00-A2MMTLQCCADANTES]. Very minor fps drops when lot of fights on screen. Wrong shadow color (just like on cobra).

I read somewhere that most games that give a blackscreen after the minis logo have encrypted eboot.bin files (which will make them work on Cobra, but not using convertion). Is it just me, or will crisis core not save for anyone else? It's the only thing i've tried so far, and it works fine, just gives me an 8002xxxx error when i try to save.

Gonna try something else, i'll post back in a few mins. Edit ==== Tales of the world radiant mythology wont let me save either. 8002926C error. The one i made using the PSP2PS3 tool seems to save just fine, got past the behemoth fight and saved, which version of the game did you use and which tool did you use to create the.pkg? For reference i used ULUS10336 which was an ISO 1.59 GB (1,716,709,376 bytes) in size with PSP2PS3 v1.7.3.

Try to use PSP2PS3 1.7.3 (regular - without 'a' at the end). With an innate ISO? Or one that was converted back from CSO? Maybe i should also try not using the compression?

Eboot from PSN pkg. I thought there was a Google Doc (collaborative spreadsheet) to report the compatibility. IMO that format is more convenient. Important Do not run multiMAN prior to a PSP game. Otherwise it will result in a black screen freeze. If you run mM, you must reboot the PS3 before playing a PSP game to avoid a freeze --------------- Persian McLovin may be a good idea to add that info to first post, as im sure some people may think some of these titles didnt work but didnt realize the issue with multiMAN.

I have tested this a few times and that is the only time i get a black freeze on the game i have on my XMB. Update: Some users are saying they are not experiencing this issue?

But some are. I am going to have to create a video i guess lol. I'll report back as soon as i get it tested. Game title: Final Fantasy Type-0 Game ID: NPJH50443,NPJH50444 Region: JAPAN Status: Working CEX/DEX: CEX CFW version: 4.21.2 Rebug ISO/Eboot size: 3.2G (2 UMD) Save/load status: working PS3 model: slim Further details: First decrypt psp eboot.bin with psp eboot decrypted tools.(DNRiper) Second replace the origin boot.bin with this decrypted eboot changed name 'boot.bin' in ISO.This 'boot.bin' is a real elf file. Fouth use a 0KB OPNSSMP.BIN to replace origin OPNSSMP.BIN in ISO. Finally this FIXED ISO can be converted to EBOOT.PBP and run MINIS. I have confirmed that most psp games(70-80%) can be minis on PS3 if you realy understand how to run Final Fantasy Type-0 Minis with this method. Sorry my poor English.

I tried to make FF3 work but I failed. This is what I've done: 1. Extract EBOOT.BIN from FF3 ISO, using UMDGen 2. Drop EBOOT.BIN to eboot_decrypt.exe (from DNRiper), got BOOT.BIN 3. Use SIGN_EBOOT.bat, got EBOOT.ELF (is it supposed to get.ELF file?) 4.

Extract OPNSSMP.BIN, open it in hex editor, delete everything and save it as a 0 bytes file. Put BOOT.BIN, EBOOT.BIN and OPNSSMP.BIN in the UMDGen and create a new ISO. Convert it to Mini Black screen after Mini logo.

I don't get it. Why SIGN_EBOOT gave me an ELF file? So I didn't use it. I tried to make FF3 work but I failed. This is what I've done: 1. Extract EBOOT.BIN from FF3 ISO, using UMDGen 2. Drop EBOOT.BIN to eboot_decrypt.exe (from DNRiper), got BOOT.BIN 3.

So I didn't use it. FF3 ISO must be original iso and use WQSG_UMD to replace files not UMDGen. FF3 psp-ps3 pkg under this link. You can see game pictures under this link. I have confirmed that most psp games(70-80%) can be minis on PS3 if you realy understand how to run Final Fantasy Type-0 Minis with this method. Sorry my poor English. You're wrong - PSEmu without cobra pacthes can't run games with several executables (doesn't matter if they're encrypted or not). I talked with BlackDaemon and we figured out isuue not in decrypted modules. He made some tests on old game called Infected, which have decrypted mpeg.prx module and works on ps3.

Removing it makes game running without videos and replacing it with different ELF crashes ps3 completely. Also we suggest minis emu can't load many external modules at all, no matter if they signed or not. Last finding is minis emulator can't load external executables, only main EBOOT.BIN. So games like MGA (look in /stages/ folder, it's a mess) or Castlevania doesn't work. As soon as ps3 gets sceKernelLoadExec command it crashes. I looked in 4.30 Cobra firmware and there's no changes in files itself, so all patches in payload itself.

In conclusion - it's pretty much dead end. Maybe in PSP Remasters mode psp emu less restricted. Still don't get it.

Why SIGN_EBOOT.bat gave me a EBOOT.ELF instead of EBOOT.BIN After running SIGN_EBOOT you have 3 files: EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF EBOOT.BAK EBOOT.BIN is encrypted/signed file (even if before running SIGN_EBOOT it were decrypted). Facts speak louder than eloquence。 I have confirmed FF3,Final Fantasy Type-0,Knights in the Nightmare, and more PSP games can run MINIS now with this method before these games cannot run. In fact Cobra CFW also use official PSP EMU. These files psp_emulator.self and psp_translator.self of Cobra CFW 4.30 are same as 4.30 ofw. Yup - that's why cobra patches those emus on the fly (in RAM). Maybe Ff3/Type-0/Knights in the Nighmare don't have more executables than only EBOOT.BIN/BOOT.BIN - that's why they're worikng. Try to run MGA1 or 2/Dissidia Duodecim or Crazy Taxi Fare Wars;) in my case, it gave me EBOOT.ELF and EBOOT.OLD Edit: oops.

I tried the new version of SIGN_EBOOT from 1.7.3a and it's work now. Before running SIGN_EBOOT you have only EBOOT.BIN. Yup - that's why cobra patches those emus on the fly (in RAM). Maybe Ff3/Type-0/Knights in the Nighmare don't have more executables than only EBOOT.BIN/BOOT.BIN - that's why they're worikng. Try to run MGA1 or 2/Dissidia Duodecim or Crazy Taxi Fare Wars;) Before running SIGN_EBOOT you have only EBOOT.BIN. So I have to extract BOOT.BIN from the ISO then rename it to EBOOT.BIN then sign it with SIGN_EBOOT.BAT then put it back to the ISO as a new EBOOT.BIN, am I right?

Yes Crazy Taxi Fare Wars can run now with my method.I have tested it can run 100% perfectly. I can uploaded PKG to prove this fact or tell u the method. 'change origin boot.bin named eboot.bin and resigh it with SIGH_EBOOT.BAT. You can get the eboot.bin as a key. Then replace this eboot.bin to origin eboot.bin in iso.and convert this iso to EBOOT.PBP and so on.

CT will run till game selection screen - after selecting game it'll freeze (emu isn't capable to run next executable). To make it work you can try to use CT1 or 2 executable as EBOOT.BIN to run game directly without game selection screen. I extract the EBOOT.BIN file with WQSG_UMD_R31 Drop to eboot_decrypt and I have a BOOT.BIN rename the BOOT.BIN file to EBOOT.BIN.

I execute SIGN_EBOOT, take the EBOOT.BIN file and put into iso with WQSG_UMD_R31 Then I make the mini, and I have a black screen. I'm trying with FF3. I tried too with OPNSSMP.BIN (0Kb) and the result is the same.

You need to replace OPNSSMP.BIN too. Extract it from the ISO, open it in hex editor, delete everything in the file and save.

You'll get a 0 byte OPNSSMP.BIN, put it back to the ISO.

First replace BOOT.BIN (2.46 MB) second replace EBOOT.BIN(5.58 MB) third replace OPNSSMP.BIN(0KB) It must success.Just now I do it again and success again. First replace BOOT.BIN (2.46 MB) second replace EBOOT.BIN(5.58 MB) third replace OPNSSMP.BIN(0KB) It must success.Just now I do it again and success again.

I'm trying to do this for Star Wars Battlefront 2. I downloaded the eboot_decrypt file and extracted the eboot.bin from the ISO. I try to run eboot_decrypt and nothing happens when I drop the eboot.bin in.

Cmd prompt opens quick and goes away, and there isn't a boot.bin created. Any ideas on how to get past this step?

I'm not too technically saavy, but it seems as though this is something easy enough to follow. Here's my tutorial for people who still can't do it. (using FF3 for the example) 1. Extract EBOOT.BIN from FF3 ISO, using WQSG_UMD 2.

Put EBOOT.BIN in the same folder as eboot_decrypt.exe (from DNRiper) then run eboot_decrypt.exe, you'll get a BOOT.BIN file. Delete EBOOT.BIN (to avoid confusion) 4. Rename BOOT.BIN to EBOOT.BIN 5. Run SIGN_EBOOT.bat (from PSP2PS3 1.7.3a), you'll get a signed EBOOT.BIN 6.

Extract OPNSSMP.BIN from FF3 ISO, open it in hex editor, delete everything and save it as a 0 byte file. (you can keep this file and use it with the other games) 7.

Put the signed EBOOT.BIN and the 0 byte OPNSSMP.BIN in WQSG_UMD (with FF3 ISO opened) then close the app. Convert the fixed ISO to PS Minis. Here's my tutorial for people who still can't do it.

Important Do not run multiMAN prior to a PSP game.

Otherwise it will result in a black screen freeze. If you run mM, you must reboot the PS3 before playing a PSP game to avoid a freeze Persian McLovin may be a good idea to add that info to first post, as im sure some people may think some of these titles didnt work but didnt realize the issue with multiMAN.

I have tested this a few times and that is the only time i get a black freeze on the game i have on my XMB. Update: Some users are saying they are not experiencing this issue? But some are. I am going to have to create a video i guess lol. STLcardsWS I'm on 4.30.2 Rebug and was experiencing this freeze problem launching PSP/MINIS if I previously launched multiMAN. Today I found that I had the Enable DYNAREC under Settings column turned ON.

I turned it OFF (and rebooted) and guess what:) no, I won't tell you. It's better that you try it yourself:laugh: BTW here is another compatibility table, if someone want to help to improve it https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AowGG2G1KRsgdHg5aDJUTnZ2bGR0NEZhMS1xekVXWGc#gid=0.

It's better that you try it yourself:laugh: Yea that is the issue, thanks aldostools, I know there was an issue with the PS1toPS3 app by qoobz that did the same thing with multiMAN.The app was fine until you ran multiMAN. However with that you would turn off the BD-emulator. There is some things that needs to be corrected by deank (as he is the only one who can, as he is the only one with access to all the code).

Its not good for everyones PS3 to keep freezing. STLcardsWS I'm on 4.30.2 Rebug and was experiencing this freeze problem launching PSP/MINIS if I previously launched multiMAN. I was going to ask in reply to STLcardsWS about consolidating all of the replies into the original post OR have a spreadsheet table in Google and then I see this! Someone wanna fix this up cause following this exactly is breaking **** some ppl have FF3 working by using this plus their own knowledge can someone clean this up?!?!?!?!? Compress the eboot.pbp is the default option.

In general it can save up to 50% of the HDD space used by the eboot.pbp, but it can cause lag in some games (fortunately very few). To modify an ISO you can use either UMDGen or WQSG_UMD. WQSG_UMD is preferred because it keeps the LBA position automatically. In UMDGen, you first have to save the CSO as ISO, open the saved ISO, export the File Positions to a text file prior any change, make the modifications, then import again the saved file positions to restore the original LBA and save the ISO.

I estimate that about 80% of the PSP games are sensitive to the LBA position. So modifying the ISO can easily break the game, resulting in a black screen even in a real PSP. UMDGEN tends to change the LBA positions if you make any change to the image.

I recommend that do not make changes to CSO, instead first save it as ISO and make changes to it. Compress the eboot.pbp is the default option. I just converted Street Fighter Zero 3 Double Upper (the jap version of SFA3 Max) this one doesn't freeze after a fight. Load/save still not working even with 'tmp' fixed. But if you have a save data existed on your PS3, you can load and save the game (I transferred my save from PSP). It Always happen to me some game can create save file without the tmp but if the game needed those folders it will not save even if it was included in the package. I fixed this by ether transfer the game to a real mini with the tmp folders created or include any dumb file in tmp folders in the pkg and delete the files with multiman once extracted. So, i tried to convert a.cso using the 1.7.4b GUI, and it gave me this error: Converting to ISO: PSP.cso The system cannot find the path specified. Del iso.txt>nul Compressed ISO9660 converter Ver.1.00 by BOOSTER and i dont see a iso.txt file anywhere.

Edit ==== manually changing it, (UMDGEN), just tells me the eBOOT.BIN is also a.elf, sign the eboot. Attempting to Sign the eboot with the.bat file just ends up saying eboot.pbp not created, and trying to sign it with the GUI just ends up deleting my iso/cso. So which tools can be used for encrypt.prx:questionmark: Maybe PRXDecrypter 2.7a ((runs on PSP):dontknow: Some highlights from the read me: 2.6b -->2.7a - Now you can decrypt 6.3X and up EBOOT.BIN - You can extract hidden modules from any DATA.PSP including 6.xx - decrypt/decompress 6.XX modules. - Keys for 6.XX - 6.60 added. You can also choose 'Unsigncheck only' which will unsigncheck encrypted files (makes them generic for any PSP) 'Signcheck only' will resigncheck unsignchecked files, making them PSP-specific again.

There is also a PRX Encrypter Pack 3.5 (for PC, but I haven't used it. The tool is intended for average users. Encrypting prx 'should' make some games working but still PSPMinis emulator without cobra patches can't load another executable after loading EBOOT.BIN (that's why eg Metal Gear Ac!d work on cobra and doesn't work as minis).
